Outreach Programs

     Outreach programs at St. Paul's Episcopal Church encompass 'On-Going' financial and volunteer support of local and international ministries.

 The Hope of Sudan  

     The Hope of Sudan provides support to Sudanese refugees. In the Rochester, NY area, our ministries include;

      Providing assimilation support to the ‘Lost Boys of Sudan’ and their new families as they go to Sudan, marry and bring their new families to America. Our MADIT program provides a “wise mom” or grandmom for new wives and their children to facilitate their assimilation into Rochester society. Scholarships for continuing education are provided to the Lost Boys of Sudan. Trauma Healing – we provide awareness education and support to helping organizations in Rochester that deal with refugees and direct support to the Sudanese community through counseling and support.
Outside of Rochester, we have a rich educational program in Africa where we take students out of refugee camps or villages and educate them in private boarding schools in Kenya or within the Sudan.
