Stephen Ministers are lay persons who have been trained to extend the work of our clergy to care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support  to people who are going through a difficult  time, such as divorce, grief, hospitalization, unemployment, terminal illness, relocation, chronic illness, or loneliness.   Each Stephen Minister has completed a 50 hour course developed by Stephen Ministry International in St. Louis, MO.  The course focuses on skills of compassion, listening, spirituality, and above all confidentiality.  They are prepared to come alongside you for as little or as long as necessary.
